Service users are supported to be tenants in their own homes.

We support service users to find appropriate accommodation suitable for their needs in an area of their choice.
All relevant stakeholders, including the commissioning authority are part of this process. The standard of the accommodation and all issues of health and safety is the responsibility of the agency providing the accommodation. We work in close partnership with all agents providing accommodation to ensure this is maintained to an acceptable standard.

However it will be the responsibility of the service user to keep it in a reasonable condition of cleanliness, hygiene and safety, supported where necessary by a named support worker. Service users are encouraged to fully integrate in the local community, making use of all available amenities and services suitable to their needs. e.g. transport, libraries, colleges etc Each service user has a named key worker who will visit them regularly in their own home and they will also have access to the wider services provided by Diligent Care Services Ltd including a 24 hour on call facility.

The Aims of Our floating Support Services

Flexible, personalised care plans for safe, structured and therapeutic support at an appropriate level, to enable service users to attain an optimum level of independence. Partnership and collaboration with service users, the statutory and non-statutory mental health services to ensure the continued mental health and well being of service users and prevention of relapses. Development and sustainment of life skills, e.g. personal care and hygiene, budgeting, shopping, domestic tasks (cleaning, laundry), food preparation, etc

Practical support and advice to ensure continued compliance with medication and other prescribed therapies.
Advice and practical support and assistance to enable service users engage fully with occupational activities including training and employment and also discover new interests and talents.
Support and encouragement to enable service users forge and maintain appropriate relationships within the community, including maintaining appropriate contact with family members.
