We can provide you with a personal assistant who will support you to live
independently.
As a service user, you determine what assistant you want on a daily basis and this is provided to
you within the standards of Diligent.
All PAs are interviewed and undergo a criminal records bureau check before
they are introduced to service users.
PA Users are expected to have insurance for Personal Assistants
whilst they are working in your home if you employ them directly.
PA Users must be able to provide a separate
bedroom in their own homes for a PA to use whilst they are working unless the placement does not require PAs to live-in.
PA users can either manage the PAYE of PAs or the PA can be directly employed by Diligent and placed with the PA user.
PA users will meet with all prospective PAs suitable for their needs and make their own choice.
We can
also arrange for PAs to be trained to meet the user's needs.
We can also assist you to advertise or recruit
your own PA for a fee.
